Hey... You may remember me as the panicked college student from October 2017, fighting the ongoing war against bed bugs.

I last posted on October 27th, after our second treatment. It was a professional treatment and a fumigation of the entire house. Good news and bad news: since October 27th, there had been absolutely zero signs of a reinfestation. I had not seen a single bug, I had not been bitten from a single bug. Life was sweet. My (clean) clothing had been unpacked mid-December. None of my clothes had shown signs of being infested and had gone through multiple washes. Basically, everything was okay... until tonight.

It is important to note that my room is totally fine. I've searched the place head to toe. I haven't been bitten here, nor seen a SINGLE sign. But while talking to my grandmother, I noticed a bug crawling next to her on the couch... it was huge. It was full of blood and a very mature adult. Panicking, I stripped the couch. I found only one more: a small nymph. I rushed upstairs to check my room in hers. Nothing in mine, but in hers: many dead guys, one live critter (only one and VERY sluggish) in one of her drawers, a very small nymph struggling in the carpet, and that's... about it.

There is still powder from the last treatment along the walls and in some of our drawers and bed-base boards. We have no pets, so I decided to leave it uncleaned just incase any strugglers got through. I'm currently freaking out... praying that this is a small outbreak of ones that were left from the second treatment. I got on the call with my previous PCO to come in for a third treatment (thank god that six month guarantee makes it free!) to come in on the weekend.

I can't deal with these again... it's too much. What do I do? I believe I have the situation under control... obviously, it's a good thing I haven't been bitten or seen any but downstairs. But now it's back to no sleep for me! My username continues it's tyranny months later.

Some words of advice would help... maybe even to calm me down. Am I doing the right thing? Will the third treatment definitely help?
