Buggernet on "New to this"

We went to a Water Park in July. We stayed in a hotel on site. Weeks later, my adult son realized he had bed bugs. By the time he realized it, it was in his bed and dresser. I have never, ever EVER had to deal with this before. I was freaking out. I used an over the counter spray to get the initial bugs dead enough to move the mattress, boxspring and dresser outside. We wrapped them in plastic and carried them outside. At 2am. Felt like we were carrying out dead bodies! We didn't want the neighbors to know. We heavily treated his room. And left it alone for two weeks. He slept on an air mattress, the couch and in the spare room.
I let the hotel know what happened so that they could treat the room. They didn't respond to me. I found that rude, but I guess I understand...
He bought himself a new bed. We encased it in a bed bug proof cover. We threw out all of his old linen and got new stuff.
Now over a month later, I found them on me while I was sitting on the couch. I took a shower immediately, and sprayed the couch and the wall. We threw the couch out. I feel like the next place they will show up is my room since I am really the only one who sits on the couch to watch TV and always fall asleep. Then I get up and go to bed.
After my son's initial infestation, I treated my bed too. I have also been reading up on this since then. I thought I should spray my bed in case. To be honest, I really didn't believe things I was reading I thought people were over reacting. I think otherwise now. These things won't go away!
I encased my bed with the mattress cover and I check all the time. I bought traps to see if there is anything there.
Last night, I treated and rearranged the spare room and I think I found one, a baby, on my face afterwords. I showered immediately, and isolated my clothing. I took my clothes off in the shower!
I placed traps in the spare room and bought encasements for the bed there. I haven't gotten to put it on that bed yet. I am avoiding that room until I am done with other things. I don't want to spread it around. I have not had any bites in a long time. Not since the night I discovered the ones on the couch. That was about a week ago. And I got plastered. They were all over me. ugh. But they were babies, and I saw a couple bigger ones after I sprayed.
I am hoping I can keep these bugs at bay doing what I am doing. I bought a brand name product. It works great. It doesn't smell bad. It kills the bugs and the eggs. (according to the label). It is pet and kid safe. I have two cats. And grandkids. I have not had any sleep overs in a long time since I don't know where they are yet.
Does anyone know how long this will take? Oh what stress. Just when I thought it was over, they show up again. I want my life back.
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.
