Hello. I am at wits end with what seems like an unsolvable problem. Hopefully someone can help me out with advice or at least kind words haha…
We first discovered bed bugs one month ago on my sons bedding on the bottom bunk bed he shares with his brother. Previously, he had broken out in what we thought were rashes for about a month before this, and finally realized these horrible creatures were the culprit.
Immediately after the sighting, my landlord was called. She called EchoTech to come and inspect both units in my two flat building. They found minor activity on the box spring in my neighbors apartment, and moderate activity in my sons bed. Supposedly, no activity was found in any other room. (hmmmm..).
They ‘treated’ my sons room. Still can not get a straight answer from either echo tech or my landlord (she is just as confused as I am) as to what has ACTUALY been done since neither one of us can be present during inspection and obviously, during treatment.
Well, after the first treatment, I was seeing increased activity and was told this was normal. My son was still being bitten even with walk ups and encasements in place, and the room being sprayed.
I ended up having junk removers remove the bed and both mattresses because they were pretty badly infested it seemed. They came back 2 weeks later and sprayed again. Supposedly different rooms this time, although I only noticed the residue on one wall of my bedroom and in my children’s room.
The third treatment was yesterday. That same night, my son and I saw a large bed bug crawling on the wall behind our sofa.
I also saw several last weekend, both dead and alive, in my room, their room, and one in the dining room on the wall.
I’m terrirfied, mortified, and can not sleep at night.
ALL of our clothing, bedding and pillows (that we are not using) have been washed and stored in bags AND bins.
Even our bedding is sparse, and dried on a regular basis.
Is this normal? Three treatments and still seeing activity?
They said after the third visit, there was no signs of activity. Then 4 hours later, we see a large bug on the wall. So…there was activity.
Anyone ever used Echo tech? Someone help! Thank You for listening to my story
